ATTENTION PLEASE!!!

This is the latest news, a nuclear power plant in Fukumi (Fukushima Daiichi Plant), Japan has exploded at 4.30am today, if it rains tomorrow or later, dont go outside !!.. if you are outside, be sure that you have rain protectors.

Its acid rain. Dont let it touch you, you may burn your skin, lose your hair or have cancer. Stay safe and remind everyone that you know.!!

SOMA, Japan – The second hydrogen explosion in three days rocked Japan's stricken Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant Monday, sending a massive column of smoke into the air and wounding 11 workers.

Hours later, the U.S. said it had shifted its offshore forces away from the plant after detecting low-level radioactive contamination.

The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan was about 100 miles (160 kilometers) offshore when it detected the radiation, which U.S. officials said was about the same as one month's normal exposure to natural background radiation in the environment.

It was not clear if the radiation had leaked during Monday's explosion. That blast was felt 25 miles (40 kilometers) away, but the plant's operator said radiation levels at the reactor were still within legal limits.

The explosion at the plant's Unit 3, which authorities have been frantically trying to cool after a system failure in the wake of Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami, triggered an order for hundreds of people to stay indoors, said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano. The two disasters left at least 10,000 people dead.

Operators knew an explosion was a possibility as they struggled to reduce pressure inside the reactor containment vessel, but apparently felt they had no choice if they wanted to avoid a complete meltdown.

In the end, the hydrogen in the released steam mixed with oxygen in the atmosphere and set off the blast.

Tokyo Electric Power Co., which operates the plant, said radiation levels at Unit 3 were well under the levels where a nuclear operator must file a report to the government.
A similar explosion occurred Saturday at the plant's Unit 1, injuring four workers and causing mass evacuations

Read thru and digest for your knowledge.

1. There is no nuclear plant in Fukumi. In fact, as far as I can tell (on Google Maps), there is no such place as Fukumi in Japan!

2. The nuclear plant that is having trouble cooling down its reactors is the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

3. Two of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant's reactor buildings have already exploded - one on Saturday (Reactor 1) and one on Monday (Reactor 3). So there was not just one explosion. There was TWO explosions.

4. In both cases, it was caused by an explosive mix of hydrogen, oxygen and heat from the reactors. In both cases, only the walls and ceilings of the reactor buildings were blown away. The reactors themselves were not damaged by the blast.

5. The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant uses a completely different design from Chernobyl. It's a boiling water reactor (BWR). Chernobyl used the more dangerous RBMK (graphite moderated reactor) technology. So the Japanese reactors are not going to explode like Chernobyl, and nuclear scientists have said so.

6. Even if it somehow explodes like Chernobyl, any radioactive fallout will follow wind currents and will take days, if not weeks, to spread. In other words, it's not going to be raining down on you tomorrow...

7. Acid rain has nothing to do with nuclear fallout. We get acid rain all the time due to air pollution. As bad as acid rain is, it has not been proven to burn the skin, cause you to lose your hair or give you skin cancer.
